      Subject: Amended Minimum Deposit Balances/Fees

We appreciate your continued patronage of United Overseas Bank Philippines.

In line with the consolidation of the bank's operations in our Head Office, we would like to inform you that we will be amending the required balances and fees on our deposit products and services. The following are the new minimum deposit balances, below-minimum maintaining fee and dormancy fee, which will be implemented effective 1 June 2007.


A. Minimum Deposit Balances
Regular Savings Account PHP1,000,000
Regular Checking Account/Check Plus Account PHP1,000,000
SPA or Time Deposit PHP2,000,000
Regular Savings Account (US$) US$10,000
Time Deposit (US$) US$50,000


B. Bank Charges
Below-Minimum Maintaining Fee
- Peso Account PHP1,000 per month
- US$ Account US$25 per month

Dormancy Fee
- Peso Account PHP1,000 per month
- US$ Account US$25 per month


On or after 1 June 2007, your accounts and transactions with us will automatically be subject to the new terms. Should you have any questions, feel free to call our Cash Department through telephone number 6700-8686.
